The Thirty One Story
You may know us as a company offering purses, accessories and products that help organize the lives of busy women and their families.
But we are more than that. Our company mission is to “Celebrate,Encourage and Reward” women, and we have seen this mission played out through the years in the lives of so many women who now have their own “Thirty-One Story.”
Cindy Monroe began Thirty-One Gifts in the basement of her Chattanooga, TN, home with a dream and a

Cindy found inspiration for the company’s name in the verses of Proverbs 31, which speak of dedicated, resourceful women who serve society and take care of their families. Wait List is No More!
As you may or may not know, Thirty One has had a hold on recruiting since February. The company grew at an alarming rate and there were many issues with quality, backorders, and several other things. The recruiting freeze allowed the company to take a step back and get a handle on the issues, work out all the kinks in the system, and get everything up to speed. Over the summer, "waves" of consultants were allowed in, if your name was on the wait list. As of July 25th, there is NO more wait list!!! This is very exciting because now you can sign up to become a consultant whenever YOU are ready! You can begin your own business for just $99! Welcome!
I have blogged on my personal blog before about my Thirty One journey but I thought that I should create a blog strictly for Thirty One. For those of you who do not know, I am an independent consultant for a company called Thirty One Gifts. We are a faith based company offering a wide range of the most adorable totes, purses, wallets, and various items for the home. Most everything can be embroidered with your initials, name, or whatever you choose.
I have had crazy hairs before and wanted to sell Mary Kay, Advocare, Pampered Chef or some other kind but my husband said no way. When I brought this idea up, he didn't buck the system too much. He knows my love for purses and knew I could be successful with it. When I first started selling, it was for extra money to fuel my Coach habit, this was the running joke for quite some time. Granted, I still love my Coach bags and will jump at the chance to get a new one but, mostly carry Thirty One items these days.
I began selling Thirty One in August of last year after a long search for an embroidered lunch tote for Kylie. I found the perfect one at this little store and the clerk, who I believe was the store owner, was very rude to me. I quickly decided that I would not be buying anything from them ever again. I have always worked in customer service and it is pertinent to offer the highest level of customer service and she certainly did not do that, (Sweet Blue is very similar to this said store and I LOVE them! They are phenominal). I was very bummed at this point, then in walks a lady with the cutest lunch tote. I had to know where got it, it was a company I had never heard of, Thirty One. I began doing research and looking through the catalog and loved it. It was reasonably priced, CUTE products. I could sell these. I thought about it for a day or so, and requested more info via their website. I received information in the mail and couldn't sign up fast enough. Immediately, I had parties booked and was on the road to success. I have had reasonable sales every single month since I signed up!
Like every job, I had my ups and downs with them, I was ready to be done selling with them in February. I had a director that lives in another state, she didn't offer much guidance so I learned everything myself. I spent hours upon hours researching everything that I could about this company. The more I learned about them, the more I fell in love with them. I have teamed up with some local consultants who have offered SO much guidance and help. This has seriously been the best thing that I have done. I truly enjoy doing everything for this company and representing them.
My Thirty One commission bought all of Kylie's Christmas presents last year and pays a good bit towards my car payment each month. I was "on maternity leave" for the past three months and have had sales each month. It is a great side job, as you can make your own hours, or even perfect for the stay at home mom who is just looking for a little extra "play" money for the month. You can start your business for $99, that includes items for your display table and tons of business supplies!!
